No – Each Flare Shade umbrella consists of a marine-grade framework that is manufactured from weather resistant aluminium. This hard-wearing alloy is anodised to finish for a protective, waterproof exterior that will not rust.

Generally speaking, all outdoor umbrellas require a mount or base of some kind. Our cantilever and commercial umbrella ranges come with factory bases that are intended for permanent or semi-permanent application. Our café umbrellas are portable and versatile and therefore implementation of these structures is more varied and dynamic. Although the method of installation is ultimately up to you, we recommend adding a Flare Shade base to your café umbrella order unless you intend to secure the product by other means.

All Flare Shade frames and umbrella canopies come with a manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty period covers manufacturing defects in the frame or untimely colour fading of the canopy fabric. The duration of cover ranges from the initial 12 months and up to 5 years depending on the model or product type. Please refer to the relevant specification sheer or our Terms & Conditions page for further info.

Flare Shade has a friendly team available to assist in the event of any damage to your umbrella. If you experience any breakage, we would recommend taking a photo of the damage and emailing it through to our office for assessment. Our spare parts manager will then contact you to discuss possible warranty cover, spare parts or replacements. 

Yes – All of our umbrella types can be bolted to concrete through the predrilled holes in the bases or mounts. In fact, we always recommend bolting them where possible if you intend to install them permanently or semi-permanently. For our café umbrella range the corresponding base plate is an accessory that must be added separately.
